Despite the increase of popularity of network business forms, there is no common unified approach towards understanding of the nature of the network company and definition of its specific features in comparison with traditional (hierarchical) firm and purely market mechanism of regulation of interaction between companies.The analysis of Russian and foreign scholarly Gift Card publications on the problems of networking companies supports this conclusion.This is why the goal of the present research is to amend the definition of the network company.
